Poly-V Belt

The Poly-V Belt is a continuous Belt that is used in a drive to drive several peripheral devices such as an alternator, power steering pump, water pump, air conditioning compressor, and air pump.

The Poly-V Belt can be described as cord-reinforced transmission Belts with triangular-shaped ribs running lengthwise. The design of the Poly-V Belt offers better protection for all reinforcement cords and thus achieves an even load distribution. An idler pulley or a Belt tensioner is also guided by the Poly-V Belt. Poly-V Belt drive requires less space and the Belt can be placed under increased tension without stretching. The single wider Poly-V Belt is used instead of many standard Belts.
